Sustainable Agriculture is an in-depth and interdisciplinary class that provides students an opportunity to study a wide range of farming principles and practices.

TO THE FARM
OVERVIEW
Sustainable Agriculture is both an academic study of farming and agriculture as well as a hands-on, experiential learning experience.
PIGS
Students learn animal husbandry, specifically how to manage and care for the rare, heritage breed pigs on the MSA farm.
CHICKENS
Students learn animal husbandry, specifically how to manage and care for the chickens on the MSA farm.
SIGNATURE PROGRAM
Meet Our Piglets
Our farm currently has nine rare, heritage-breed piglets that are a crossbreed of Mulefoot and Berkshire. These piglets roam the wooded areas around the farm where they are free to forage and explore.
GARDEN
Students examine three distinct forms of gardening--no till, raised bed, and hydroponic
BEES
Students learn about the power of the bee as a pollinator.
BEYOND FOOD
Farms can provide more than food. Learn how nature and farm products can improve human health
