Tented outdoor event in the Miller School Bull Ring, rain or shine.

Handicapped parking will be provided. Please follow signs and staff directions upon arrival.

Attire
Graduating Seniors have been made aware of their attire requirements.
Commencement is a tented outdoor event. Attire is a personal preference, but guests are encouraged to dress respectfully for the occasion and appropriately for the weather. Comfortable shoes are encouraged given the amount of walking across grassy surfaces. The weather in Charlottesville can be unpredictable in May. Be prepared for rain, cool temperatures, and wind as well as unusually warm temperatures.
Tickets and Seating
Tickets are not required to attend the graduation ceremony which will be held under a tent in the Bull Ring. Seniors are asked to let the Campus Life Office know how many people to expect from their family for graduation by Friday, May 10th. This can be emailed directly to kcason@millerschool.org. We request this number to ensure ample seating.
Hotels and Transportation
The Miller School does not hold a hotel block for commencement.
Seniors who need assistance with hotels and/or transportation for their family members arriving (and departing) for graduation should contact Ms. Cason about details as early in May as possible. Hotel rooms and transportation should be reserved as early as possible.
If you have a family member who will be attending graduation and may need special assistance to get to the Bull Ring, please contact Ms. Cason by Friday, May 10th.
